Lori Carney is a senior payments executive with more than 30 years of experience leading partner strategy, relationship management, and operational excellence across the payments ecosystem. She has built a distinguished career driving growth, strengthening retention, and developing high-impact partnerships with financial institutions, ISOs, and alliance partners.

Lori began her career at First Data as an entry-level representative and advanced through the organization during a 27-year tenure. Throughout her career there, she held increasingly senior leadership roles and was instrumental in creating and scaling partner-focused initiatives. She established the ISO Partner Implementation Team to support the successful launch of new partner relationships and founded the ISO Strategic Partner Management Team, ensuring premier partnerships received dedicated, expert support. In addition, Lori led the sale of Alliance and Bank Referral partnerships and later managed the ISO Service Organization, overseeing performance, service delivery, and partner satisfaction.

Following First Data, Lori joined Sage Payments—later Paya—where she brought a proven, multilayered approach to partnership growth, retention, and long-term value creation. Her leadership emphasized strategic alignment, relationship depth, and consistent execution across partner channels.

In 2021, Lori joined Worldpay, where she continues to lead and manage key partner relationships, leveraging her extensive industry knowledge and leadership experience to deliver results for clients and partners alike.

Beyond her professional roles, Lori is a respected industry leader. She became a founding member of the Midwest Acquirers Association (MWAA) in 2003 and later served a two-year term as President, contributing to the organization’s growth and influence within the payments community.
